Philip has attempted to demonstrate a lifelong commitment to equity and social justice. On a practitioner level, he is a seasoned turnaround leader with broad/deep experience. As a consultant, he has provided interim leadership, transition support for an array of organizations, teaches, was on the Terry McAdam Book Award Committee and is a member of the Executive Transitions Leadership Committee.
His Interim Leadership engagements have run the gamut. For an array of organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area he has literally worked in organizations from A to Z — advocacy efforts for children to an urban zoo, and so much in between. Philip has been in management during various disaster/emergency response events, his most recent work includes leading the support of the Ella Baker Center, serving the unhoused in Alameda County, a 501c6 national bar association and a center for LGBTQ + services. And yes, STEM and STEAM focused organizations.
